Hangin Out with Uncle Tim, Uncle Nick and Goo Goo Mei

This past weekend, Uncle Tim, Uncle Nick and Goo Goo Mei all spent the night at our house. It was great to spend some quality time with them. On Saturday, we went out to breakfast first and then we went to the Grove. Matthew and I love it when they come visit us. We always have such a good time with them.

Gift for Mommy's Day

For a couple of weeks before mother's day, Mommy had been dropping hints to daddy that she wanted "arts and crafts" as a gift from the kids. Daddy was perplexed. Daddy don't do arts and crafts. But luckily he came up with a simple solution. He printed up "Happy Mother's Day" on a piece of paper and overlayed it with some Yo Gabba Gabba characters, and then he just let me and Matthew do the rest. We colored and scribbled, and pretty much just made a mess of the mother's day page for mommy. But that's what ended up making it interesting. Daddy then framed it and surrounded it with a bunch of pictures of mommy with me and matthew. It turned out really nice and Mommy liked it a lot.

Another Trip to Disneyland

On Sunday, April 26th, we made another trip to Disneyland. Mommy and daddy thought..."hey it's a regular ol' Sunday, not a holiday weekend, people have work and school tomorrow, soo shouldn't be too crowded." WRONG!! It was PACKED!! Daddy has sworn off going to Disneyland on a weekend from now on. It's just not worth it. We pretty much just walked around and rode the train (the one that goes around the perimeter of the park) and the carousel. And just to give you an idea of how crowded the park was...the train and carousel usually have no lines and there were lines for both that day. And we also tried to buy ice cream...30 minute line. It was crazy!! Luckily, Matthew and I count the tram rides to and from the parking lot as rides also. So in total we went on four rides (tram to the park, carousel, train, tram back to the parking lot)...actually quite and exciting day for Matthew and I.

Pictures from the carousel. Check out mommy's eyes in the bottom left. She's watching choo choo intently to make sure he doesn't fall down. Haa!!!

UCLA Spring Game

Sorry blog readers...daddy got way behind on the blog again. Daddy says that life with two toddlers has been very challenging recently. There is a lot of refereeing that daddy and mommy need to do these days whenever Matthew and I fight. Also the daily cleanup of our house has pretty much doubled, now that Matthew is fully mobile and has taken into the habit of touching and making a mess of everything. Both the refereeing and the stepped up cleaning requirements have taken away from daddy's blogging time.

Anyways, here we go...after the festival of books (which someone pointed out has been on our blog for 3 weeks), we went home and quickly reloaded our supplies and took off for the Rose Bowl to watch the UCLA spring game. It was an all UCLA day. Daddy was interested to see how the UCLA team looks for the upcoming year and he also wanted to see how Matthew and I would do at a football game. This was a good trial run, as it was just a short practice and more importanly...it was FREE (but parking was $15!!! Can you believe that!! For the spring game?!?!) Anyways, Matthew and I did pretty good for about 30-45 minutes, but then it quickly became apparent that it was a little too cramped in the seats for Matthew and I (we need space to roam). So that pretty much nixed the idea of getting football tickets for the upcoming season. Plus daddy says the team didn't look so hot. They're kind of like mirror image of last year. The defense was just dominating the offense, which is not good. Daddy hopes they improve more before the start of the actual season.

It was kind of neat for Matthew and I to be in a big crowd though...there were maybe 10-15K people there. Daddy was impressed with the turnout....until he saw on ESPN that Ohio State's spring game had 100K+people!! I also learned how to do the UCLA 8-Clap, although i modified it a little..."1-2-3-4 Fight Fight Fight!!" Go Bruins!!
