A Fun Day at UCLA

Last weekend, we went back to UCLA. We hung out in the grassy area at the bottom of Janss steps. There was a chinese cultural event going on at the time, so Matthew and I got to witness our first chinese lion dance. It was pretty cool. Later we went to the student store and we bought Matthew a UCLA hat. Gotta get the lil guy to represent!!

Breakfast and the L.A. Zoo

Recently, we found a place to have breakfast in our neighborhood at very reasonable (cheap) prices. We went there last weekend before going to the LA Zoo.

Long Beach Aquarium

Two weekends ago , we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Matthew and I had a great time seeing all the cool fish, sharks and stingrays. After spending a couple hours at the aquarium, we then went to Borders for a while, and then went to Outback steak house for dinner. It was a fun day.

Valencia Mall

A couple of weekends ago, we met up with Ninang Jae and Uncle Jovy at the Valencia Mall. Everything started out great but then Matthew got all grumpy and it was all downhill from there.

Hanging Out with Tyson

On Super Bowl Sunday, Uncle Brian and Tyson came by to watch the big football game. Matthew and I had a great time hanging out with them. We played with our trains, went in the backyard and rode on our ride-on toys, and then me and Tyson ran laps around our house. It was awesome. Unfortunately not all was good...Daddy and Uncle Brian bet on the Super Bowl and lost!!! They really suck at gambling.

Kidspace Museum

Another trip to the Kidspace Museum in Pasadena. In trying to find things to do to entertain Matthew and I, Mommy and Daddy have become "members" or bought annual passes at a number of places (LA Zoo, Disneyland, Kidspace Museum, and most recently, the Long Beach Aquarium). As a result, Daddy is constantly trying to figure out his "break-even" point for these different places. For kidspace, i think we have to go one more time before we are IN THE MONEY BABY!!!

Old Town Pasadena

This was a trip to Old Town Pasadena. We walked around, but then we ended up in Barnes and Noble to read some kids books.

Green Pea

We love Matthew...he is always so happy and cute! He actually took his first steps this week and tonight he's been walking all over the place. Daddy will have to put up video soon.

Kuya Leo Paul's 9th Birthday

In January, we went over to Kuya Leo Paul's house to celebrate his 9th birthday. I love hanging out with both Kuya Leo Paul and Kuya Jared. I always tell mommy and daddy "see po po, see jar jar" when i want to go play with them.

Travel Town

Ok...so mommy and daddy are way behind on the blog (again). The main reason is that our home computer has been acting up and uploading pictures has been taking a long time. Yesterday, daddy went to Fry's and bought an external memory card reader and now both Mommy and Daddy can blog from work...shhhh, don't tell anyone. =)
Anyways, we are going to try and catch up on things that we have done over the last month and half.

This is when we went back to Travel Town. When Tyson had his birthday party there, we didn't really get to explore too much. So one weekend, we went back and took a good look at what they have there.

One of "Our" New Toys

Here is the one gift that definitely caught our eye during present opening time. It's a construction truck ride-on toy. Daddy hopes that we use it to clean up our family room.

Opening Birthday Presents

The next morning (after Matthew's birthday party) we finally got around to the good stuff...opening presents. We had a ton of gifts. Daddy was stressing about where he was going to store all these toys. But Matthew and I weren't concerned about storage issues. We just wanted to open those gifts. Of course since Matthew is only 1, and i'm 2, i had to show him a few things about the finer art of opening gifts (speed is the key). And since there were so many gifts, i had to start claiming a few of them as "E-An's" (my way of saying "Ethan"). I think i claimed about 80% of the toys...which resulted in a few wrestling matches between me and Matthew during gift opening time. But it all worked out great. Matthew got a bunch of great toys, that he shares with me.

Matthew's 1st Birthday Party

On January 31st, we celebrated Matthew's first birthday. I can't believe that my little brother is one now. He is my best bud and i was really happy to be celebrating this day with him, our family and friends. We had our usual insane party with about 60+ people, with lots of good food and fun. Here are some pictures.

Here are some of the decorations for the party.

Goo Goo Mei and Uncle Nick came over early to help us set up. Goo Goo Mei is the bomb at tying baloons. And Mommy's friends, Auntie Myriam and Auntie Lourdes helped out again with setting up again.

Some of our guests...

As the party progressed, a lot of the kids migrated to our family room where a guitar hero concert was underway....

Birthday Cake Time!!!!

And of course...Smash Cake Time!!!

Pictures with family.
