Trick or Treat

Today I got to go trick or treating for the first time at our local mall. I was dressed up as a turtle. I wasn't too much into the actual trick or treating though since i'm not into candy yet. So after trick or treating at a couple of stores, Mommy, Daddy and Ninang Jae just sat down on one of the mall benches and just let me roam around. Anyways, I got a lot of attention from people at the mall...everyone seemed to like my turtle costume.

Time for a Turtle milk break!

Ethan Strolling in the Mall

The Playroom

On Monday, Mommy and Daddy took me to The Playroom in Sherman Oaks. The Playroom is just like a My Gym. It was a ton of fun. They have a bounce house, a ball pit, cool kid cars, and a lot of other fun stuff. We stayed there for about 2 hours while i ran around, played with the toys and with the other kids there. The thing that Daddy liked about The Playroom is that there is no long term committment required...it only costs $9 per kid for an all day pass. Plus right next door is a Golf Instruction studio.

The Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday afternooon, Mommy and Daddy took me to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. The pumpkin patch actually had a lot more than pumpkins...it had a train, a merry-go-round, some carnival rides, a petting zoo and a lot of other cool things. It was a lot of fun.
****
I was too scared to actually go on the kiddy train, but i did take this cool train conductor picture.
So many pumpkins, which one to choose...

Picking out pumpkins was fun...but what was REALLY FUN was playing in the dirt with a stick that i found.
Daddy took away my stick...where's mommy...i need love.
Got my stick back!!!
Mommy took me for a ride on the Merry-go-round...with my stick.
Me and Daddy sittin on some haystacks.
Me and my stick.
What the heck is that?!? It's a goat.
Here's the pumpkin that we picked.
Forget about the pumpkin...go find my stick!!

Mommy's Surprise Birthday Dinner

Last Friday, October 19th, we had a surprise belated birthday party at my Ninang Claire's house for mommy since everyone was so busy with my birthday party the weekend before. Ninang Jae coordinated the whole thing and managed to keep it a secret from Mommy. Anyways, Mommy was totally surprised when we got there (and also very confused since it was already one week past her birthday). Happy Birthday again Mommy...I love you.

Since I was at Ninang Claire's anyways...i decided to get my weekly mani-pedi.

Hanging Out with Ninang Jae

Since Daddy was gone this weekend for a golf tournament with his buddies, Ninang Jae came over for a couple of hours yesterday to hang out with me and Mommy. We went to the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square Mall where we had lunch at CPK. We also had time for a little shopping and a stroll to walk off our lunch.

Spending Time with Yeh Yeh and Betty Nai Nai

Last week, Yeh Yeh and Betty Nai Nai came over for a couple of days to babysit me. They took me out for walks and grocery shopping at Whole Foods. They took such good care of me and as usual, Yeh Yeh had dinner ready for us every night when Mommy and Daddy came home from work. I love spending time with Yeh Yeh and Betty Nai Nai very much that I get so sad when it's time for them to go (I get especially sad when Yeh Yeh leaves) as you can see in this picture. The good news is that they promised to babysit me more often and so I'll be seeing them again very soon.

The Germ Pit

For the longest time, Mommy and Daddy have resisted the urge to let me play at the mall's indoor playground, a.k.a. the germ pit... but on Friday, 10/19, Mommy finally gave in and set me loose. I had such a blast playing and I can't wait to go back.

My Cowboy Hat

Check out my new cowboy hat that Betty Nai Nai bought me. It's a little small for my big head but I like it anyway.

My 1-Year Check-Up

On Monday, October 15th...I had my one year check-up at the doctor's. This time i finally got to play with all the toys in the waiting room...i always just had to watch all the other kids play with the toys before. Anyways, everything went well...i got my one year vaccinations (mommy said i hardly cried at all and that i took it like a champ). My latest stats are 97th percentile height, 90th percentile brain size =), and 75th percentile for weight (all this walking that i'm doing must've made me drop some pounds). Most importantly i'm in perfect health.
The only bummer is that the day after my vaccinations, i broke out with my first fever...i hit 101 degrees the next morning. But by tuesday evening, i was all good and back to my normal self.

How I Spent My 1st Birthday

The day after my birthday party was really my birthday (October 14th). The day of my party was so busy and hectic that I didn't get to open up my birthday presents until the next day (I think this will be the last time that I will be cool with waiting a day to open up my gifts).

****

I love anything with a steering wheel. When i opened this present up, i couldn't wait to start playing with it (even though it was still in the box and still partially wrapped).

Check out this cool toy that i got. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is (I don't think Daddy knows either).

After opening up my gifts, Mommy and Daddy decided that we needed to get out of the house...so we went to the Topanga Mall. I got to ride on my first merry-go-round there. Daddy tried to put me on one of the merry-go-round horses, but I didn't like that...so we sat on a bench instead.

There's Mommy...there's Mommy again...and again...

After the merry-go-round, Mommy and Daddy took me to buy some some new shoes. I'm growing out of my Robeez already. No luck though...Mommy and Daddy didn't see anything that they liked for me. But I did have fun playing hide-and-seek at Nordstroms.

My Birthday Bath!!

To top off the day, Mommy and Daddy sang Happy Birthday to me. They didn't have a candle so they put a tea light on a cupcake instead. I'm officially one!!
